My Story

Currently

Art has been a passion of mine since I was in elementary school. I was born and raised on the small island of Kaua'i, home to lush green scenery, warm sunsets, and the calm ocean. Being surrounded by the beauty of the island, it inspired me to recreate that beauty with art. I continued with my passion for art and went to Western Oregon University where I studied many areas of art- including painting, printmaking, sculpture, and art history.

The art I create is a manifestation of my thoughts and emotions, no matter what medium I use. And my inspiration comes from nature and the beauty of human interaction. I strive to captivate my audience with my work, in hopes that they find something in my art that speaks to their own personal life experiences. As a creator, my style is constantly changing, and I want to keep exploring different mediums and techniques.

Aside from creating, I am currently working as an Art Teacher at Ele'ele Elementary School, where I teach grades K-5. My goal is to instill a love and respect for art to the students, and to allow them to use art as an outlet for emotions and creativity.

I am also a muralist for Mo'olelo Murals, a non-profit organization. The vision of Mo‘olelo Murals is to educate residents and visitors about the Mo‘olelo (stories/ narratives) of Kaua‘i through public art. More info and updates at moolelomurals.com
